4.7.2 Registry

The registry stores information necessary to configure the system for

applications and hardware devices. The registry also contains information that

the operating system continually references during operation.

To persist registry settings between boots, do the following steps:

1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel.

2. Double-tap the “Persistent Registry” icon.

3. Tap the “Persist” button.

4. Tap OK to exit.

To change Persistent Registry timing, do the following steps:

1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel.

2. Double-tap the “Persistent Registry” icon.

3. Select a time interval from the menu.

4. Tap OK to save and exit.
